The Israeli have consistently violated international human rights laws by eviction, torture, and killing Palestinians. It has deprived Palestinians of their absolute civil rights in their lands with total impunity. Advocates of democracy do not accept discrimination and oppression by Israel and call for justice and democracy in Palestine.
Israel Uses Force to Evict Palestinians
During Ramadan, tensions have soared in Palestine as Israeli forces have killed, injured, and detained Palestinians. Israel has increased shootings and arrests and raided the Al-Aqsa mosque and West Bank. Amnesty International has said Israelis have used a system of domination in all last decades against Palestinians. Israel has seized Palestinians’ land and properties while forcing them to leave their homes. It has used violence, detained Palestinians, tortured them, and unlawfully killed many. Israel is committing apparent war crimes and crimes against humanity during the armed conflicts in Palestine. The UN Human Rights Council had already decided to investigate Israelis’ systematic abuses in Palestinian territories. The Human Rights Council has urged respect for international human rights law and international humanitarian law.
Israel Has Done Ethnic Cleansing in Palestine
The Israeli state was founded in 1948 in the aftermath of World War. They forced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to flee their homes and razed their villages to take their lands. On 15 May 1948, Israelis took Palestinians’ lives and homes and extorted them. Palestinians named 15 May “Nakba Day”, the day of catastrophe, when Israelis occupied their land and started ethnic cleansing. In 1967, the illegal Israeli state seized the remaining Palestinian territories. Israelis again expelled thousands of Palestinians from their homes and began establishing more settlements. Since 1967, the Israeli military occupation of Palestine has been the most prolonged in modern history. Today, millions of Palestinians live under the oppressive rule of institutional discrimination in the same geographic space as Israelis. Israel separates Palestinians by a wall without providing them adequate access to fundamental civil rights.
Palestinians Are under Structural Oppression
Human Rights Watch has accused Israel of committing crimes against humanity in Palestine. The group has accused the world of turning a blind eye to what Israel is doing in Palestine. Human Right Watch has said Israeli oppression in Palestine is a savage crime. Palestinians have struggled to survive under Israel’s belligerent military occupation and oppressive policies. The regime of Israel has tried to maintain the domination of Israelis over Palestinians with structural oppression. Israel has discriminated against and repressed Palestinians and used security as an excuse to advance its demographic aims. Its occupation of the West Bank and blockade of the Gaza Strip is a clear violation of human rights. But the world powers have failed to hold Israel to account for human rights violations against Palestinians. Israel’s treatment of Palestinians, such as repression, prosecution, and detention, are crimes against humanity.
Israel Deprives Palestinians of Civil Rights
Israelis have done inhumane acts toward Palestinians and have rejected their fundamental rights. A UN report has concluded that Israel’s occupation of Palestine is apartheid, where it intentionally prioritises human rights for Israelis over Palestinians. Israel has established a system of institutionalised racial segregation within the same geographic unit like an apartheid system. Israel has practised a political system based on a racial and ethnic identity priority. Its discriminatory governing system over Palestinians is a criminal ruling system. Israeli authorities have subjected the people of Palestine to torture, arbitrary detention, and forced eviction. Israel prevents free movements of people and goods and does not grant Palestinians rights to nationality, education, and work. Israelis have violated their civil rights, and Jewish supremacists start racially motivated violence with total impunity. Israel does not grant a right to justice and reparation to Palestinians who have suffered during past conflicts.
Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian Children
The UN human rights council has investigated Israelis’ systematic abuses in Palestine. The Council has called upon all parties to cooperate fully with the inquiry and refrain from transferring arms. They should not move arms if there is a risk of severe violations of international human rights abuses. Israelis have killed Palestinian children from January to December 2021, the deadliest year for Palestinian children since 2014. Israeli forces had killed 547 Palestinian children in Gaza Strip in 2014. Around 68 per cent of children were 12 years old or younger, a severe violation of human rights. During the 2014 offensives, Israel has killed more than two thousand Palestinians and wounded 11 thousand. People worldwide have always condemned the Israelis’ atrocities in Palestine and called for international support for Palestine.
People Around the World Commemorate
Pro-Palestinians condemn Israel’s atrocities and occupation of Palestine every year on the last Friday of the Islamic month of Ramadan. The annual gathering is called al-Quds Day when millions of people worldwide rally in support of Palestine. Al-Quds Day highlights the illegal occupation of Palestine and the inhumane oppression of the people. Campaigns from around the world gather in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Al-Quds Day symbolises unity and integrity among Muslim nations and human rights advocates to condemn oppression. Palestinians have the right to rule their ancient land and decide their fate with no military rule dominating them. International Al-Quds Day is Palestine Day to voice opposition to Israeli usurpers. Pro-Palestinians rally worldwide to condemn the violation of fundamental human rights by Israelis.
Conclusion
Palestinians have lived under a foreign occupier for several decades with no power over their fundamental rights. Israel razed their lands after World War II and has permanently attacked them during the past decades. International organisations have warned about the crimes against humanity and violate human rights laws in Palestine. Israelis attacked and forced thousands of Palestinians to flee their homes and detained and tortured many others. They have raided villages in Palestine and killed many civilians, including children. Israelis’ ill-treatment of Palestinians is not accepted in a liberal democratic world. The long-standing military occupation of Palestine should end, and democratic values should replace Israeli ruling. Al-Quds Day, the day for remembering Palestinian sufferings and Israeli usurpers, should be the international day of democracy. This day should be a day to remind everyone of forgotten democratic values in the modern world.
