Thousands of people have died since the year 2000 when US warlike policies began in West Asia. Today, the United States has lost face in the world. It barely holds on to its global respect, including in West Asia. This loss of respect is due to the crimes that it has committed in different regions of the world. The American government is known for its violation of human rights and killing of innocent people in numerous countries. What is the UK’s role in supporting US plans and actions? The British government has supported the US to accomplish its plans. What consequences is the UK going to face as a supporter of US crimes?
US Acts of Bullying
The United States has been involved in overthrowing governments, mostly without the blatant use of force. Regime change has taken place in direct US operations by funding and training insurgent groups in different countries. The US has played a major role in anti-government propaganda campaigns, coups, and other activities. It has also been able to change governments through military force, such as the US occupation of Panama in 1989 and the 2003 occupation of Iraq. Non-transparent US government agencies sometimes do not implement the decisions of elected leaders in occupied countries.
The US is known for glaring criminal activities in history. For example, the killing of 100 million American Indians and three million Vietnamese are among the crimes recorded in the US. The Hiroshima and Nagasaki disasters are other calamitous crimes the American government has committed.
US Presence in Asia
US bullying and interfering activities are clear in numerous countries including Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. The interference of the US in any region has led to the killing of innocent people, especially women, children and the elderly. This is what American human rights meas.
US policy and claims in shaping peace in West Asia are very disappointing. For the past 10 years, the United States has failed to lead the peace process in Syria, Yemen and Libya. Its efforts for social stability and economic development have declined in key countries such as Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon. In Iraq, for example, due to insecurity, the United States closed its consulate in Basra in 2018. It also evacuated all its civilian personnel from Iraq in early 2020. These actions may become permanent.
In East Asia, an important issue is the American-Chinese conflict. China has grown rapidly over the past 10 years and will continue to grow in the coming decades. The United States is concerned that the growing Chinese economy will serve its military. This military growth may turn China into a leading power in Asia with a hegemonic capacity in the world. Both cases threaten the interests of the United States and its allies in Asia-Pacific. The United States has adopted a cooperation-confrontation approach to address or reduce this. Under the new US strategy, the country intends to strengthen its military presence in Asia-Pacific. The United States seeks a new balance of power in Asia through the political, economic, cultural, and military control of China.
Britain as a Supporter of US Actions
The UK’s role in supporting US plans and actions is a major issue worldwide. World history is brimming with shocking crimes that the US and Britain have committed jointly in many countries under the guise of human rights, freedom, and human security with humanitarian slogans. The US and Britain are responsible for the killing of many people in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, etc.
Britain is highly dependent on the US for its economy. Its withdrawal from the European Union has left the country with a signific
ant gap in its foreign policy which it is trying to fill by strengthening its alliance with the United States. This is being pursued seriously, especially given continued Conservative rule in Britain.
UK’s Role in Supporting US Plans and Dependence on the US
The American authorities are pursuing their global plans by applying coercive policies. They have entered an area where there is no possibility of long-term success. No one supports the US except a few countries under US leadership, including Britain.
Britain has no longer been the world’s top, most decisive power since World War II. It has followed in US footsteps ever since. UK’s role in supporting US plans and actions is quite clear. The UK is following the US because the latter is currently a so-called super-power and Britain believes that the US can protect its interests throughout the world. Britain has turned into a yes-man, obeying America’s decisions and is currently behaving like a slave to satisfy the US.
UK’s Role in Supporting US Plans: Consequences
One should remember that the US is gradually losing face in the world. Its bullying actions are doomed to failure. Britain, as a strict follower of the US, is internationally doomed to failure too. Britain does not have an independent international identity. It will lose its position as will the US. The UK is not highly respected and in many regions of the world, nor will be in the future. There is widespread hatred towards Britain as it has joined the US in criminal anti-humanistic actions. Britain should stop accompanying the US in anti-humanistic criminal activities, such as the killing of innocent people in different countries. It should stop supporting terrorists such as the American government. Otherwise, it will face serious consequences worldwide.
