The Ukraine-Russia conflict: Boris Johnson is an American parrot

The UK Prime Minister seems to be following the footsteps of the US in the Ukraine Russia crisis and has become its parrot. Boris immediately supported the recent sanctions imposed by the US over Russia, and he too followed his old friend By imposing sanctions over several banks of Russia. He said he would do whatever needed to support Ukraine against Russia, talking to the reporters.

Why is Boris being too nosy in the Ukraine-Russia conflict?

The UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has said Russian President Vladimir Putin would order an invasion over Ukraine soon and have deployed more than 100,000 troops at the Ukrainian border. Still, Russia denied accusations that it may be planning to invade and has accused Western nations of spreading lies to distract from their aggressive acts. Deploying troops on the borders is just defensive and nothing else.

How Scottish Independence Could Change Europe Forever.

Britain’s support for Ukraine comes as Johnson grapples with his premiership’s worst domestic political crisis, with police investigating lockdown parties at his Downing Street office and residence. The police are questioning him.

Russia’s border disputes with its neighbours have nothing to do with Britain. And they certainly have nothing to do with saving Boris Johnson’s skin. Boris is only following the steps of the US and being its parrot, and raising the allegations on Russia as directed.

Does Putin care about Boris’s allegation over him?

Putin doesn’t care about anyone’s allegations or statements against him. As seen from the history of his decisions, he never paid any heed to the accusations circulating against him. Besides, no one will stop Putin’s tanks from rumbling into Donbas if he is determined to do so. The West can raise the cost with economic sanctions, but they will make no difference, except the gas price. For Britain to seek brownie points for Nato by threatening war over this would be beyond madness. Yet, given the equivocal language of Truss, Wallace, and others, this reality should be stated in the most explicit terms – not least to the Ukrainians.

Putin has never indicated the slightest wish to invade, damage, or interrupt trade with Britain or the US. He behaves outrageously towards his critics, at home and abroad, and offends western standards of decency and liberalism. Nor does he intend to invade Ukraine, and if he wishes, no one will stop him.

How is the UK showing up in the Ukraine Russia issue?

Although the United Kingdom has been clear that it will not become involved directly in any military conflict in Ukraine. But it froze the world’s attention by accusing President Vladimir Putin of plotting to install an invasion over Ukraine, a dramatic statement that instantly thrust it onto the front lines of the most dangerous security crisis in Europe in decades. Britain sent fighter jets to south-east Europe and warships to eastern Europe in addition to military assistance it has already sent to Ukraine. It will also put an additional 1000 troops on standby for deployment to Poland to respond to any humanitarian crisis that arises from conflict in eastern Ukraine.

After a meeting at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Boris Johnson said; “This is probably the most dangerous moment, I would say, in the course of the next few days, in what is the biggest security crisis that Europe has faced for decades,”

The Boris office also said they were finalizing a package of potential economic sanctions against Russia to pressure President Vladimir V. Putin to defuse the crisis caused by Moscow’s buildup.

How is West teaming up against Russia?

The West says Russia’s move is illegal, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned it to violate Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. But NATO allies have made clear that there are no plans to send combat troops to Ukraine. Instead, they have offered Ukraine advisers, weapons and field hospitals.

The UK is targeting five Russian central banks and three billionaires.

The US says it is cutting off Russia’s government from Western financial institutions and targeting high-ranking “elites.”

The EU has agreed on broad sanctions that include 351 MPs who backed Russia’s “illegal decision” to recognize the rebel-held regions as independent states in parliament.

The US looks at Russia’s financial institutions and critical industries; the EU focuses on Russian access to financial markets. The UK has warned “those in and around the Kremlin will have nowhere to hide”, with restrictions imposed on Russian business accessing the dollar and pound. The ultimate economic hit would be disconnecting Russia’s banking system from the international Swift payment system. But that could badly impact the US and European economies.

Is Boris trying to overshadow his scandals by raising this Issue?

The UK Prime Minister is sweating and burning his sleep in this conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Mr Johnson’s diplomatic efforts sought to shift focus away from the deadly pressure he has to face in the United Kingdom over a police investigation into whether parties held in Downing Street in 2020 breached the country’s strict Covid-19 laws. But his political woes followed him to Brussels, where he twice refused to answer questions about whether he would resign if he were found to have broken the law.

Despite all his hard work in supporting Ukraine and travelling day and night to meet his allies, he has to answer his scandals at home to his people, and Britons don’t seem to be forgetting it. The people of Britain have become more aware and can’t be deluded by the actions of Boris Johnson. People claim that “charity begins from home” when PM has already hit his nation and people with careless behaviour, how it is making sense that he would lose his breath to save some other country.

Conclusion

Boris Johnson is trying to take an independent position on the Ukraine Russia issue, but it is pretty clear from his actions that he is following The US food steps. He has become the American parrot and reiterated the US position on escalating the crisis. Besides, he accepts whatever decisions the United States is taking without filtering them. The Britain Prime Minister and Liz Truss try to instil the concept that Britain is in the global equation and international trends, but Britain seems to be more in tune with the United States after Brexit. The United States is trying to help Boris Johnson get out of his scandals, and in return, he is singing in its melody.

Boris Johnson is also using his diplomatic sickles to overshadow the scandals He got into and trying to shift the focus of his people and the rest of the nation from him, But in one way or another, he has to answer the mess he created. People of the United Kingdom are outraged and want him to resign if he has broken the law.
